Los Pequeñitos Daycare originally started as Betty’s Helping Hands Daycare over 15 years ago. It was founded by Bertha Arguelles with the belief that children needed to have a safe, clean and engaging environment to spend their days while their parents felt secure knowing their little ones were being well cared for. After the birth of her grandchildren, Betty realized the importance of teaching young children a second language.

​Born in Mexico and educated in both Mexico and the US, Betty taught her three children her native language and wanted them to be able to pass that on to their children as well. When her middle daughter moved back to the bay area with her twin boys and daughter on the way, Betty began exploring the idea of a bilingual home daycare that taught Spanish and English not only as a language but a way for children to explore the world. Her search of similar childcare centers and home daycares led her to realize that there was a demand for quality bilingual Spanish care. Betty’s Helping Hands Home Daycare transformed into Los Pequeñitos (the little ones) Daycare in 2012.
